There are reports coming in that ATM is finding it difficult to hit the screens for Deepavali, the reasons cited are delay in re-recording by A R Rahman. However, against all odds, the team seems determined to get the movie ready on time for the festive season. Their only competition comes in the form of Vel, with Billa getting delayed, they definitely don’t want to let go off this opportunity.
Pyramid Saimira has bought the distribution rights for this movie and are eager to see a Deepavali release; they have also bought the Tamil dubbing rights for the Shahrukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om that is to hit the screens on Deepavali.
Pyramid is planning to release the dubbed version of Om Shanti Om alongside the Hindi release with 40 prints all over Tamilnadu, banking on the fan base Shahrukh Khan enjoys in Tamilnadu.
So is Shahrukh going to be a poser for ATM? “Of course not. This is a move to make the most of the festive season. The audience sectors for both the movies are quite different and shouldn’t interfere in each other’s way”, says a trade analyst.
Well, who wouldn’t like to see both – the Bollywood Badshah and the Kollywood Thalapathy create some fireworks this deepavali.
