The movie is produced by “Swagachitra Production Company” owned by producer Appachan this is his second film with actor Vijay after friends that was a block buster released in the year 2000

Debut director Barathan is directing the movie; he had worked as associate of director Dharani for movies like Dhil, Dhool and Gilli.

Azhigiye Tamil magan will mark a very important place in Tamil cinema because Actor Vijay is playing dual role for the first time in 15 years of his career.

This story is about guru and Prasad both played by actor Vijay the story is about one being a hooligan and the other a loyalist, their different enduring life styles and how they influence each other and also struggle against each other, the climax forms when the two characters collide with each other. The main problem being guru and his mental instabilities in dealing with his own problems forms the crux of the film.

It’s the first time that Shriya and Namitha are paired with Vijay in this film. This is Vijay’s first film doing a dual-role (hero & villain).

The technical side of the film is very strong that includes fefsi vijayan the fight scenes alone has been shot for 50 days in Hyderabad and FeFsi Vijayan has done a wonderful job. The talented cinematographer Balasubramaniyan A.R.Rehman has composed the music. Songs are written by Vaali,Pa.Vijay and Tamarai.
