Nowadays, directors start work only after choosing their favorite destination to fly to.

It has become an unwritten rule in Tamil cinema that all duets are filmed overseas. The same is true for ‘Azhagiya Thamizh Magan.’

Director Barathan filmed Namitha in Thailand’s Pattaya Beach. Now he is all set to fly to Kazakhstan, once part of the old Soviet republic. It’s a big industrial place, but the villages are very picturesque. One can see nature at its best here.

Barathan plans to shoot the Vijay-Shriya duet here, so the unit of ‘Azhagiya Thamizh Magan’ will soon fly to Kazakhstan.

All that’s fine, but has the Isai Puyal given the tune? Strange but true that AR Rehman has given 3 songs even before the start of the film. Barathan is thrilled that no other director has been as fortunate as him.

Hope his luck sees him through to the success of the film.
